Kurz zusammengefasst

JetBrains is looking for a Team Lead to head its Kotlin Infrastructure group. JetBrains builds intelligent development tools used by millions of developers and hundreds of thousands of companies worldwide, aiming to boost productivity and AI adoption at scale. The Kotlin Infrastructure team provides the underlying platform that supports Kotlin development, covering developer experience, build systems, CI/CD pipelines, release processes, internal tooling, and engineering workflows. In this role you will define and drive the long‑term evolution of Kotlin's infrastructure, providing technical leadership and owning the planning and prioritisation of initiatives. You will coach engineers, participate in hiring, and work closely with other teams to align on architecture and platform strategy. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include guiding improvements to local development, code review, CI and merge workflows, enhancing build performance, securing the infrastructure (dependency management, reproducible builds, secrets, access control), and overseeing internal tooling and automation. The position requires proven experience leading engineering teams and large technical projects, strong communication skills for stakeholder alignment, and hands‑on knowledge of developer infrastructure, build systems, CI/CD, or internal platforms. You must understand software build systems and large‑scale engineering workflows, be able to evaluate technical proposals, facilitate architectural discussions, and champion quality and platform stability. A passion for boosting developer productivity through tooling and automation is essential. Nice‑to‑have experience includes working with TeamCity, Gradle and Kotlin build scripts, the Kotlin or JVM ecosystem, large monorepositories, and internal developer platforms or experience‑focused tooling. JetBrains offers a competitive base salary, flexible remote‑or‑office work, extra vacation days, learning and development resources, relocation assistance, free meals, health and wellness perks, and regular internal events. The company promotes an inclusive, equal‑opportunity culture that welcomes diverse backgrounds and identities.
