The company is expanding its technical team in the DACH region to target the largest enterprise accounts. The role advertised is Senior Solutions Engineer, Enterprise Accounts, a senior‑level, customer‑focused position that sits within the EMEA Enterprise team and works closely with Key Account Managers to deliver Darktrace's solutions to major German‑speaking customers. In this hybrid role (two days a week in Munich and about 20 % travel) the Senior Solutions Engineer will design and manage pre‑sales deployments for the biggest companies in the DACH market. Day‑to‑day duties include creating success criteria and business case documentation, responding to RFIs/RFPs, shaping deployment architectures together with implementation teams, staying current on industry trends to differentiate Darktrace, and acting as a technical trusted advisor. The engineer will also evangelise the product at events, collaborate with partners, and contribute to go‑to‑market and product strategy discussions. The employer requires a solid background in cyber‑security or software sales engineering, with a proven record of selling and, where possible, implementing security operations in large, complex enterprises across multiple verticals. Candidates must have demonstrated success selling to large DACH customers, strong knowledge of both on‑premise and cloud networking, and deep expertise in the cyber‑security domain. Excellent communication skills, public‑speaking experience, and the ability to define security strategies and understand threat‑actor tactics, techniques and procedures are also essential. Fluency in German and English is mandatory. Preferred qualifications include industry certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, Pen Testing or Incident Response, as well as fundamental knowledge of AWS or Azure. A degree in a STEM discipline or related analytical field is also desirable.
