Kurz zusammengefasst
Boeing Deutschland GmbH, the German arm of the global aerospace leader, is looking for a mandatory internship within its Innovation Lab in Frankfurt. The lab tackles forward‑looking topics such as future flight operations, cabin accessibility, knowledge engineering, autonomy and machine‑learning applications. Interns will join an interdisciplinary team based in Neu‑Isenburg, Germany, and will interact with stakeholders and research partners worldwide. During the internship you will carry out research and development work focused on ground operations, trajectory‑based operations, knowledge‑based engineering, accessibility and artificial‑intelligence solutions for future flight operations. In addition, you will assist with the upkeep of the lab's simulators and guide visitors during tours, providing a practical link between research outcomes and real‑world demonstrations. The position is open only to students who hold a valid right to work in Germany and can be present on‑site full‑time. Candidates must be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's programme that requires a mandatory internship in one of the following fields: aerospace, human factors/psychology, computer science, data analytics/science, autonomy, medical technology, UI/UX or machine learning. Fluency in written and spoken English is required, while German language skills are advantageous but not compulsory. Applicants should be comfortable working in an international team, be proactive in sharing ideas, think abstractly, and show enthusiasm for new projects and unfamiliar topics. Preferred attributes include a strong interest in shaping innovative concepts into tangible products and solutions, as well as the flexibility to adapt to evolving research themes. The role does not involve shift work, security clearance, relocation assistance, or visa sponsorship, and compensation follows local German terms rather than Boeing's U.S. payroll. Successful candidates will also need to pass Boeing's Conflict of Interest assessment. What the role asks for: - Student status with mandatory internship requirement - Legal authorization to work in Germany immediately - Enrollment in relevant bachelor's or master's programme - Fluency in written and spoken English - Ability to work 100 % onsite in Neu‑Isenburg - Proactive teamwork in an international environment - Abstract thinking and idea‑to‑product mindset - German language skills (beneficial)
