The Senior Category Manager, Indirect Procurement CapEx will join HelloFresh, a fast‑growing European tech‑focused food company, to lead strategic sourcing for capital investments across its production sites. Reporting to the Director of Indirect Procurement, the role focuses on machinery, automated lines, material handling equipment and facility build‑outs, working closely with Engineering and Operations from specification through hand‑over. Day‑to‑day you will own the full CapEx sourcing cycle: map supplier markets, run RFx processes, negotiate contracts and award deals for multi‑million‑euro projects. You will craft a multi‑year category strategy for production equipment, conveyors, cold storage and fit‑outs, and conduct total‑cost‑of‑ownership modelling and investment scenario analysis together with Engineering and Finance. Early Supplier Involvement will be used to shape specifications and achieve design‑to‑cost outcomes, while you maintain a qualified supplier portfolio, track performance and drive continuous improvement. Collaboration extends to Project Management and Site Operations throughout project inception, commissioning and beyond, and you will keep an eye on market trends and technology developments relevant to food production and logistics. When needed, you may also support the broader Procurement Ops team on MRO, facilities and utilities projects. The position requires at least six years of procurement experience, with three to four years dedicated to CapEx category ownership. A proven record of sourcing capital equipment such as production machinery, automated systems or conveyors is essential, as is an engineering degree or comparable technical background to communicate effectively with stakeholders. You must have managed large‑scale sourcing across several European markets, be fluent in English, and possess strong total‑cost‑of‑ownership and financial modelling skills to build business cases with Engineering and Finance. Travel to production sites across Europe may be required. Nice‑to‑have attributes include fluency in German or French, which would be an advantage in a multilingual environment.
