Kurz zusammengefasst
The Senior GenAI Data Scientist will join AutoScout24 Group's Data Science organisation, developing next‑generation AI solutions that power the company's automotive marketplace. The role is permanent and based in either Munich, Germany, or Toronto, Canada, and focuses on building agentic GenAI systems that deliver reliable, scalable, high‑value products for internal and customer‑facing applications. Day‑to‑day, the scientist will design and implement agentic GenAI solutions using modern frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGen or Atomic Agents, turning product requirements into production‑ready models. They will lead harness engineering practices, creating repositories, workflows, standards and feedback loops that let software‑engineering agents generate, test, maintain and review code across AI, ML and data products. The role also involves developing knowledge‑integration pipelines, including retrieval‑augmented generation, custom fine‑tuning, vector search and other grounding methods, to ensure models have the right context for accurate outputs. Additionally, the scientist will define evaluation strategies, build ground‑truth datasets and set up automated testing and monitoring to detect drift or hallucination, and collaborate with engineering, data and product teams to embed AI components via clean APIs, robust pipelines and scalable deployment patterns. The position requires deep expertise in generative AI and agentic software engineering. Candidates must have hands‑on experience with LangChain, AutoGen or Atomic Agents, and a proven track record of delivering production‑grade AI systems. Experience in building and maintaining RAG architectures, fine‑tuning models, and implementing vector‑search solutions is essential. Strong skills in designing evaluation frameworks, creating ground‑truth data and establishing monitoring for model performance are also mandatory. The role calls for the ability to mentor peers, guide solution architecture and champion best practices in coding, testing, repository design, documentation and observability. Nice‑to‑have attributes include a background in automotive or marketplace domains, familiarity with large‑scale data pipelines, and prior experience working in international, cross‑functional teams. Working in Munich or Toronto offers access to vibrant tech ecosystems and the chance to be part of AutoScout24's fast‑moving, innovative culture, with opportunities for professional growth as the company continues to shape the future of mobility. What the role asks for: - Experience with LangChain, AutoGen or Atomic Agents - Proven delivery of production‑ready GenAI systems - Expertise in retrieval‑augmented generation pipelines - Ability to fine‑tune large language models - Skills in building vector‑search and grounding methods - Design of evaluation frameworks and ground‑truth datasets - Setup of automated testing and monitoring for model drift - Mentoring and guiding best practices in AI engineering
