The Working Student role supports our Laser Lab and Cleanroom Operations, helping to run laser‑processing experiments and keep optical and metrology equipment calibrated. You will monitor particle levels, enforce gowning procedures, and maintain cleanroom documentation while collaborating with a multidisciplinary research team focused on photonics, semiconductor and quantum technologies. Day‑to‑day tasks include assisting with laser experiments, performing equipment maintenance, collecting and analysing data with LabVIEW or Python, and following safety and cleanroom protocols. The position is ideal for a current physics, electrical‑engineering or materials‑science student who can work both independently and as part of a team, bringing strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail. What the role asks for: - Current enrollment in physics, electrical engineering or materials science program - Hands‑on experience with laser systems - Hands‑on experience in cleanroom environments - Proficiency in LabVIEW data acquisition software - Proficiency in Python programming - Knowledge of safety protocols - Strong analytical skills (nice‑to‑have) - Ability to work autonomously and in a team (nice‑to‑have)
