The Tech Platform team builds the core infrastructure that powers every DT product, ensuring it is reliable, observable, standardized and cost‑efficient at marketplace scale. As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer you will join this group to design, build and run the large‑scale distributed systems and data platforms that handle tens of billions of daily events. Your day‑to‑day work will involve creating and operating Kubernetes‑based environments, including Spark‑on‑K8s and tooling for data and machine‑learning workloads such as Databricks. You will drive the OneDT standardization effort by adopting GitOps with ArgoCD, unifying CI/CD pipelines and establishing clear developer‑ownership across business lines. The role also requires you to implement MLOps and data‑pipeline capabilities, partner with ML and data teams, champion observability and automation, and lead cost‑optimization initiatives. Participation in on‑call rotations, incident response and blameless post‑mortems will be a regular part of the job. To succeed, you need at least eight years of experience in infrastructure, platform or back‑end engineering, with a proven record of building robust distributed systems. You must have deep expertise with a major cloud provider, AWS or GCP (Azure is a plus), and be proficient in one or more programming languages such as Go, Java, Python or Scala. Strong, hands‑on experience with Kubernetes stacks is essential, as is familiarity with data or ML infrastructure technologies like Spark, Kafka, data lakes or Databricks. Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code, CI/CD, GitOps and modern observability tools is required, together with operational maturity demonstrated by owning production systems, participating in on‑call duties and systematically improving reliability. Preferred qualifications include leading large‑scale migrations or platform‑standardization programs across multiple teams, a background in high‑throughput, low‑latency systems such as real‑time bidding or event streaming, and experience with cost governance (FinOps) at scale.
