In addition, the manager will lead a small team of Junior Project Managers, coaching them to handle increasingly complex work and building a self‑sufficient project‑management function. To succeed, candidates must have a proven record of independently delivering complex, client‑facing projects in pharma, biotech, diagnostics or MedTech. They need experience juggling several cross‑functional projects at once, resolving bottlenecks, and turning around struggling initiatives. Direct people‑leadership experience, coaching and developing other project managers, is essential, as is a solid scientific background in life sciences (a PhD is considered a plus). Strong stakeholder management skills, the ability to challenge assumptions and secure commitments, and a pragmatic, hands‑on approach to decision‑making are also required. The working language is English; German knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory.
