Mars is seeking a Digital and Supply Excellence Manager for its chocolate factory in Viersen, near Düsseldorf. The role sits within a global food company that aims to turn its manufacturing sites into benchmark performers through Lean principles, digital innovation and a culture of continuous improvement. You will be responsible for advancing the Lean Operating System, championing the Mars Supply Excellence (MSE) framework and driving the site's digital transformation. On a daily basis you will steer year‑over‑year financial and KPI improvements, oversee the rollout and maturity of the MSE model, and embed digital initiatives that boost productivity. You will nurture a learning environment by standardising work, deploying strategy, solving problems methodically and fostering continuous improvement. Coaching and developing leaders and associates in Lean tools, partnering with technical and reliability teams to integrate TPM, and leading the Site Training team to meet safety and regulatory standards are also core duties. Collaboration with the Regional Training Manager ensures training standards and tools remain robust. The position requires deep experience in operational excellence within the fast‑moving consumer goods sector, a master's degree in engineering, operations or a related technical discipline, and extensive hands‑on expertise in Lean implementation and facilitation. You must possess strong practical knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and other continuous‑improvement methods, as well as a proven track record of managing change in complex environments. Excellent communication, coaching and collaboration abilities are essential. Fluency in German and English is considered advantageous.
