Kurz zusammengefasst

The Technical Support Engineer, Wind Turbine Operations role at GE Vernova supports the company's mission to make renewable energy more reliable, efficient and scalable. Based primarily in Hamburg, the engineer works at the intersection of office‑based analysis and hands‑on collaboration with field teams, design engineers and customers, helping to keep the wind turbine fleet safe, reliable and continuously improving. Day‑to‑day duties involve probing complex faults across electrical, mechanical and control subsystems, coordinating troubleshooting efforts among field crews, engineering groups and clients, and leading root‑cause investigations to full corrective action. The engineer also refines preventive and corrective maintenance processes, spots reliability and performance improvement opportunities, and translates field insights into technical recommendations. Additional tasks include authoring work instructions, troubleshooting guides and other documentation, managing spare‑part and tooling needs, supporting Lean initiatives, and championing safe work practices such as LV/HV procedures and wind‑turbine safety rules. The position requires a degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical qualification with a strong electrical focus. Candidates must have experience in technical support, troubleshooting or maintenance of complex equipment, preferably within the wind sector, and demonstrate a keen interest in the full turbine system. Essential personal attributes are strong problem‑solving ability, an ownership mindset, proactive attitude, effective communication, structured work style and the capacity to collaborate with international, cross‑functional teams. Willingness to travel abroad and work offshore when needed is also required. Desirable, but not mandatory, experience includes offshore wind maintenance and possession of GWO certifications. These nice‑to‑have credentials can further strengthen a candidate's fit for the role. What the role asks for: - Degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable qualification - Experience in technical support or maintenance of complex equipment - Strong electrical background - Ability to investigate electrical, mechanical and control issues - Proven problem‑solving and ownership mindset - Effective communication and structured working style - Willingness to travel internationally and work offshore - Offshore wind maintenance experience (nice‑to‑have) - GWO certifications (nice‑to‑have)
