Bitpanda, a Vienna‑based fintech founded in 2014, offers a multi‑asset platform that lets millions of European investors trade cryptocurrencies, stocks, precious metals and commodities. The company is expanding into regulated on‑chain finance with its Vision Chain L2, and is seeking a Lead Product Manager, DeFi to create a Euro‑denominated DeFi ecosystem from scratch. In this role you will design and operate lending markets, defining loan‑to‑value ratios, liquidation thresholds, interest‑rate curves, caps and oracle integrations while maintaining monitoring and incident procedures. You will attract liquidity and users to permissioned markets by setting supply targets, sourcing euro liquidity from stablecoin issuers, institutional lenders and market makers, and devising ways for verified customers to access these markets without volume fees. Ensuring the underlying DeFi infrastructure, DEX depth, liquidators, oracles and related components, is robust for tokenised assets is also a core task. Additionally, you will shape the user experience in the Bitpanda app, clarifying liquidation and risk information and tracking key metrics such as repeat borrowers, bad debt and revenue. Finally, you will evaluate and recommend protocols and partners for Vision Chain, building business cases and collaborating with Legal, Compliance and Risk to meet EU consumer credit rules and MiCA regulations. The position requires at least six years of product‑management experience, with a minimum of three years dedicated to building and scaling DeFi or crypto products. You must possess deep knowledge of lending market mechanics, including collateral, liquidation, interest‑rate models and oracle reliability, and be comfortable reading Solidity code to engage with smart‑contract engineers. Proven success in bringing DeFi applications into regulated consumer offerings and bridging decentralized and centralized finance is essential. Strong influencing skills, the ability to craft clear business cases and produce high‑quality English documentation, and a solid understanding of EU crypto regulations such as MiCA are also mandatory. Preferred qualifications include hands‑on experience scaling on‑chain ecosystem liquidity from the ground up and any background in traditional financial markets. The role can be based in any of Bitpanda's hubs and offers a hybrid working model with 25 days per year to work remotely from a location of your choice.
