The company's Food Division produces the world's largest volume of food cans, serving markets such as fruit, dairy, meat and pet food. The role is based at Plant 37 in Hanover, Pennsylvania, a 2‑piece and 3‑piece steel‑can facility employing about 95 people. The 3rd‑shift Forklift Operator works Monday‑Friday from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am, supporting manufacturing, shipping and receiving. Daily tasks include safely operating industrial forklifts to move unfinished and finished goods, loading and unloading trucks, and staging product for production. The operator conducts visual quality checks on incoming and outgoing materials, reads pallet tickets and production schedules, wraps loads when required, picks orders, and uses computer systems to navigate inventory. Routine pre‑ and post‑inspection of the forklift is also required, along with any additional duties assigned by the Manufacturing Supervisor. Candidates must have at least one year of forklift experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting and be qualified to operate the equipment safely in terms of vision, hearing, physical and mental ability. They must be able to work alternate schedules, including overtime, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and organizational ability. A high‑school diploma or equivalent is preferred, as is knowledge of OSHA training, 6S principles, equipment modifications, and quality standards relevant to the plant. The position offers a base hourly rate of $23.02 plus a $2 shift differential, with comprehensive benefits that include company‑paid health insurance, a matched 401(k), and an hourly pension plan.
