Kurz zusammengefasst
Munich Electrification is a forward‑looking company that designs electronic control units for electric vehicles and stationary storage systems. Based in the heart of Munich at Heimeranplatz, the firm combines a small, specialised team of engineers with a strong focus on sustainability, technological leadership and an entrepreneurial culture. The advertised position is a Working Student role within the Microfactory, an internal sample shop that bridges early product design and full‑scale production. The day‑to‑day work centres on supporting the sample shop's operations. You will help the engineering team prepare, assemble and track early‑stage prototypes, alpha and beta samples, and variant builds. The role also involves spotting and fixing process bottlenecks or layout inefficiencies on the shop floor, and working directly with engineers to implement physical improvements. Additional duties include installing, maintaining and upgrading assembly fixtures and workbenches, as well as assisting secondary projects that introduce Manufacturing 4.0 tools such as smart‑tool configuration, component scanning and digital work instructions. Finally, you will document lessons learned by capturing data, parameters and assembly issues to create clear reports for external production partners. To be considered, you must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field. The employer looks for a hands‑on mindset, a proactive, self‑starting attitude and basic knowledge of Lean concepts, cycle times and takt times. Strong written and spoken English communication skills are required, and an interest in smart‑factory technologies is welcomed. Nice‑to‑have attributes include a genuine enthusiasm for moving between a technical workspace and a physical assembly bench, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. The position offers a vibrant environment with access to a fitness centre, free meals, public‑transport tickets, bike‑leasing, and the possibility to work remotely for up to six weeks a year. The office is located next to a prototype and testing lab, providing direct exposure to cutting‑edge electric‑vehicle and battery‑management projects. What the role asks for: - Enrolled in Bachelor's or Master's in relevant engineering discipline - Hands‑on mindset for physical assembly tasks - Proactive self‑starter attitude - Basic knowledge of Lean principles, cycle and takt times - Solid written and verbal English communication - Interest in smart‑factory/Industry 4.0 elements - Ability to identify and propose shop‑floor process improvements - Collaborative team player attitude
