Isar Aerospace is a fast‑growing space‑technology company focused on making access to orbit cheaper, more sustainable and scalable. The firm is seeking a Lead Full Stack Software Engineer to head the creation of modern internal platforms that link engineering, manufacturing, operations and business teams. The role sits at the heart of the company's digital transformation, giving the holder ownership of green‑field development and the chance to shape architectural standards for internal tooling. Day‑to‑day the engineer will design, build and deploy full‑stack applications, covering everything from front‑end interfaces built with TypeScript/JavaScript frameworks to back‑end services and APIs written in Python, Node.js, Java or C#. Responsibilities include defining data models, integration patterns and overall software architecture, as well as ensuring performance, reliability, security and maintainability. The role also involves establishing best‑practice engineering processes such as automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines and thorough documentation. Close collaboration with stakeholders across the organisation is required to translate complex operational needs into intuitive applications, prototype ideas quickly, validate them with users and iterate for continuous improvement. To succeed, candidates must bring at least eight years of professional software engineering experience with a strong emphasis on full‑stack development. Proven expertise in modern front‑end development using TypeScript/JavaScript and frameworks like React, Angular or Vue is essential, together with solid back‑end experience in Python, Node.js, Java or C#. A deep understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or SQL Server, including data modelling and query optimisation, is required. Applicants should have a track record of delivering production‑grade applications covering authentication, authorization, testing, deployment and monitoring, and be comfortable with Git, automated testing, CI/CD and modern development workflows. Strong problem‑solving abilities, intellectual curiosity, pragmatic engineering judgment and excellent English communication skills are also mandatory. Nice‑to‑have experience includes building internal tools or enterprise platforms, especially for manufacturing, automotive, aerospace or logistics environments. Familiarity with ERP, PLM or similar enterprise systems and their integration points is valued, as is experience creating responsive, mobile‑friendly web applications. Knowledge of cloud platforms, containerisation, Docker and Kubernetes, as well as a willingness to champion AI‑assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code or OpenAI Codex, will be seen as advantageous.
