The opening role is an Implementation Lead / Program Manager who will own the end‑to‑end delivery of a customer's implementation, from the initial scoping workshop through to the final go‑live, while coordinating a cross‑functional delivery team and keeping senior R&D leaders informed of progress. On a day‑to‑day basis the Program Manager defines the customer's requirements, sites, teams and laboratory workflows, then translates that scope into a phased plan with clear timelines, deliverables and post‑sales commitments. They run regular status meetings, manage stage‑gate reviews and sign‑offs, and produce written updates for account managers and leadership. The role also involves planning and executing onsite workshops, spotting scope creep early, raising change requests, and coordinating integration work with the customer's IT groups and Uncountable's Integration Engineering team. The manager leads the Scientific Implementation Managers and associates, pushes the team to use AI agents for repetitive configuration, and shares lessons learned to improve future scoping and estimation playbooks. Close partnership with the Account Manager ensures that progress, risks and customer sentiment are communicated and that the hand‑off to Customer Success is smooth. The position requires at least three years of experience leading software implementations or digital laboratory rollouts, whether for external clients or internally within an R&D organization, and a solid scientific background in chemistry, materials science, biology, chemical engineering or a related discipline. Candidates must demonstrate disciplined project management habits, running status, risk, scope and sign‑off processes across multiple concurrent projects without needing constant follow‑up. They need to show ownership and sound judgment, being willing to push back on unrealistic timelines or designs and taking responsibility for outcomes. Finally, the role expects an AI‑first working style, meaning the applicant already uses AI tools in their workflow and is comfortable collaborating with AI agents that handle a substantial portion of configuration and setup tasks. During the first 90 days the new hire will learn the Uncountable platform, shadow live implementations, take over project management on existing accounts, and ultimately lead a full implementation from scoping to go‑live while delivering at least one measurable improvement to the implementation process. The team operates in a fast‑moving, high‑impact environment that offers real ownership from day one and the chance to work closely with PhD‑level researchers and cutting‑edge AI‑driven delivery tools.
