The position works hand‑in‑hand with Incoming Inspection, Production, Metrology, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Engineering and Product Assurance to protect product quality and keep the manufacturing flow uninterrupted. On a daily basis the inspector will carry out both incoming and final inspections, using hand gauges, micrometers, height gauges, comparators, microscopes and, where needed, coordinate measurement machines. Visual checks will verify surface condition, coating, cleaning, markings, damage and assembly quality. The role also involves reviewing supplier certificates, inspection reports and material certificates for completeness, recording results in traceable documentation, and flagging non‑conforming items for segregation and further action. Additional duties include creating and refining inspection checklists, measurement plans and instructions, developing measurement programs with metrology software, supporting supplier quality investigations, collaborating with engineering and production teams to resolve issues, and ensuring inspection equipment remains calibrated. The employer requires candidates to have completed a technical vocational training programme in quality inspection, machining, mechanics, mechatronics, metrology or a comparable field, and to possess practical experience in quality, incoming or final inspection within a technical production environment. Applicants must be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, geometric tolerances and specifications, and be proficient with dimensional inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, comparators and microscopes. Professional proficiency in English is mandatory. Preferred qualifications include experience with coordinate measurement systems and metrology software (e.g., PolyWorks, ZEISS CALYPSO, PC‑DMIS), knowledge of measurement uncertainty, calibration principles and traceability, an AUKOM Level 1 or similar metrology certification, and prior work inspecting aerospace, precision‑machined, propulsion, valve, composite or other safety‑critical hardware. German language skills, occasional travel for supplier or company inspections, and a structured, analytical, detail‑oriented mindset are considered advantageous. The role offers a range of benefits such as a share‑ownership program, 30 days of vacation, a pension plan with 20 % employer contribution, subsidised meals, rental work clothing with laundry service, sport‑club membership, learning allowance, childcare allowance, and a flexible mobility budget.
