Kurz zusammengefasst
The Exploration Company builds spacecraft, developing the modular, reusable orbital vehicle Nyx for cargo and future crew missions. They are looking for a hands‑on AIT Electrical/Harness Technician to construct, integrate, maintain and document Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) and the electrical harnesses used during FM1 integration and on‑site ground testing, ensuring the hardware functions correctly in space. Day‑to‑day you will assemble and wire EGSE units and related harnesses from drawings, bills of materials and work instructions, or, when those are missing, use engineering guidance to make build decisions and capture the as‑built configuration. You will terminate, label, route, inspect and keep the harnesses and test cables in service, perform continuity, pin‑out and polarity checks, and support the installation, connection, removal and troubleshooting of EGSE in integration areas and test sites. Maintaining accurate build, inspection, test and as‑built records, tracking tools and calibration status, and following electrical‑safety, ESD and clean‑room procedures are also part of the role, as is helping with packing, transport and return of equipment for test campaigns and keeping the workshop and inventory orderly. The position requires vocational training or an apprenticeship in electrical/electronic engineering, electronics, mechatronics or a comparable field, with practical experience in assembling wiring, cable harnesses or panels; aerospace AIT or EGSE experience is a plus. You must be able to read schematics, wiring diagrams and work instructions, use hand tools and basic measurement devices such as a multimeter, and demonstrate careful workmanship, configuration control and thorough documentation. A proactive attitude toward raising discrepancies, basic fault‑finding skills, and clear communication with engineers and test teams are essential. The role also demands hands‑on work in workshops and test locations, a safety‑conscious mindset, fluency in written and spoken English and willingness to travel for ground‑test and launch campaigns. The company promotes an agile, open and collaborative culture with a focus on fun and the shared goal of democratising space. Relocation assistance, including visa sponsorship, is offered for candidates who need to move, and the firm is an equal‑opportunity employer that values diversity. Successful candidates will join a fast‑moving team where they can contribute directly to a pioneering space programme. What the role asks for: - Vocational training or apprenticeship in electrical/electronic engineering or similar - Practical experience assembling electrical wiring, cable harnesses or panels - Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and work instructions - Proficiency with hand tools and basic electrical measurement equipment - Careful workmanship, inspection and configuration‑control practices - Willingness to raise discrepancies rather than make unauthorised changes - Basic fault‑finding skills and clear communication of findings - Fluency in written and spoken English - Willingness to travel for ground‑test and launch campaigns (nice‑to‑have)
