Kurz zusammengefasst

Fnatic's League of Legends division is a cornerstone of the organization's storied esports legacy. As General Manager you will head one of the premier teams in Fnatic's portfolio, reporting directly to the Chief Gaming Officer and steering the squad through a 2027 rebuild. The role sits within a global performance brand that operates from London with key hubs in Berlin, Belgrade and Tokyo, and is responsible for shaping the team's long‑term competitive direction and cultural identity. On a daily basis you will own the sporting performance of the League of Legends roster, overseeing recruitment, coaching appointments and player transfers while making tough decisions on benching and contracts. Working alongside the coaching staff you will define and embed a high‑performance culture, manage behaviour standards, and create an elite practice environment that includes facilities, scheduling and operational logistics. You will also control the team budget, allocate resources to support both competitive success and revenue‑generating activities, and ensure player contracts meet obligations to Fnatic, Riot Games and partners. A data‑driven approach will guide recruitment and performance decisions, and you will act as the primary liaison with Riot, tournament organisers, other teams and player representatives. The position demands proven leadership within professional gaming or traditional sport, with clear accountability for results. Candidates must have a strong passion for esports and deep knowledge of the League of Legends ecosystem, as well as a competitive instinct for winning. People‑management experience is essential, covering coaches and world‑class athletes, and the ability to inspire and mentor the next generation of gamers. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to represent Fnatic publicly and build trusted relationships with players, staff and fans. Commercial literacy is also needed, including budget ownership and the ability to produce business cases. Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory; additional language skills are considered a plus. The role is based in Berlin, and candidates must be willing to live there or relocate. Fnatic emphasizes a diverse, inclusive workplace where a mix of voices drives better decisions. The company offers a global platform, access to cutting‑edge analytics tools, and the chance to shape a flagship esports brand that blends gaming with music, fashion, sport and technology. Working in Berlin provides proximity to Europe's vibrant esports scene and the opportunity to collaborate with teams across multiple continents. What the role asks for: - Leadership experience in professional gaming or sport - Proven accountability for competitive results - Deep knowledge of the League of Legends scene - People‑management experience with coaches and elite athletes - Ability to inspire and mentor professional gamers - Strong interpersonal and public‑facing communication skills - Commercial literacy with budget ownership - Excellent written and verbal English - Additional language proficiency (nice‑to‑have) - Willingness to be based in or relocate to Berlin
