The opening is for a (Senior) Payroll Implementation Specialist who will join the Customer Experience team, working from an office in Munich or Berlin three days a week, with the option to work remotely elsewhere in Germany. The day‑to‑day work centers on leading payroll implementation projects that are either standard or moderately complex. The specialist will plan and monitor timelines, create and keep up‑to‑date project artefacts such as blueprints and hand‑over documents, and flag any risks or delays early. Collaboration with functional partners, smooth transition of work to Payroll Support, and participation in retrospectives to feed continuous improvement are also key parts of the role. Additionally, the person will mentor junior colleagues and act as the go‑to resource for routine implementation challenges. To be considered, candidates need two to four years of experience in payroll implementation or a comparable customer‑facing payroll position. They must have a proven track record of independently delivering payroll projects from start to finish and be comfortable working with cross‑functional teams. Fluency in German at native or C2 level and business‑level English are mandatory. Technical expectations include solid knowledge of payroll implementation workflows, competence with project‑management tools such as Rocketlane, Jira or Asana, and the ability to produce clear documentation. The role also calls for practical experience using AI to enhance work processes and sound judgment about when to rely on it. Preferred attributes include a background in process‑improvement activities, experience guiding less seasoned teammates, and a proactive attitude toward feedback and personal growth.
