Kurz zusammengefasst
Upvest is a fast‑growing fintech that provides an Investment API enabling banks and fintechs to embed a full suite of investment and retirement products. The company is currently building the operational backbone for Germany's new state‑subsidised private pension, the Altersvorsorgedepot (AVD), which will replace the Riester‑Rente from January 2027. As a Working Student in Client Experience you will join the team that designs the processes from scratch and then runs them once the product launches. Your daily work will revolve around supporting Upvest's partners and their end‑users. You will prepare clear answers to questions about subsidies, transfers and payouts, translating complex regulatory language into understandable guidance. You will also help operate the core AVD processes, registering contracts with the ZfA, managing contributions, handling the annual bonus application (AZ01) and reconciling payments. In parallel, you will contribute to the creation of playbooks by documenting workflows, drafting step‑by‑step guides and maintaining error catalogues as regulations and systems evolve. When recurring errors arise, you will investigate the root causes, perform reconciliation checks and suggest improvements. Finally, you will be encouraged to point out manual workarounds that are slow or error‑prone and propose automation ideas. The role requires fluency in German at a B2/C1 level and a comfortable working proficiency in English, as most documentation and communication with the ZfA are in German. You must be highly structured, precise and attentive to detail, because small mistakes can affect pension outcomes. A genuine curiosity for regulatory material, the ability to work in ambiguous situations and confidence with spreadsheets and AI tools are also mandatory. Prior exposure to financial services, operations or regulated environments is mentioned as a bonus but not a prerequisite. The position is limited to a minimum six‑month commitment and the candidate must be based in Berlin. Upvest offers a purpose‑driven environment where you can see a regulated product built from the ground up, work with modern technology and avoid legacy constraints. The company promotes a strong culture of inclusion, with employee resource groups and regular social events such as UpFest, off‑site gatherings and a holiday party. Being part of a rapidly funded venture backed by investors like BlackRock, Tencent and Sapphire Ventures also means you will experience a dynamic, high‑growth setting. What the role asks for: - Fluent German (B2/C1) - Comfortable English proficiency - Structured, precise work style - Curiosity for regulatory content - Ability to handle ambiguity - Confidence with spreadsheets and AI tools - Minimum six‑month availability - Based in Berlin (nice‑to‑have: prior financial services exposure)
