BJAK is a fast‑growing fintech that began as Southeast Asia's leading mobile‑first insurance platform and is now expanding into a full‑stack AI‑driven Stockbroking Superapp. The company's mission is to give everyday people smarter ways to manage, grow and move their money across payments, remittance, insurance, wealth and trading. The Technical Product Lead will own one of the product verticals, steering it from strategic vision through technical design, delivery and market launch, while ensuring the solution meets strict reliability, regulatory and financial‑rail requirements. On a daily basis the role will define the vertical's strategy, metrics and roadmap, then work hand‑in‑hand with engineering to shape APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation and security. The lead will balance trade‑offs among correctness, speed, cost, compliance and user experience, embed KYC, transaction monitoring, privacy and licensing rules, and decide where AI adds genuine value. They will also coordinate with design, compliance, operations, treasury and finance to align on product decisions, manage external dependencies such as third‑party partners and regulatory approvals, and oversee the final launch of features that move real money. The position requires at least five years of product management experience, specifically owning complex technical products from concept to production. Candidates must have a solid technical foundation in system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes and distributed systems, and be comfortable reviewing and contributing to engineering designs. Prior work in regulated, high‑consequence domains such as payments, banking, remittance, insurance or trading is essential, as is hands‑on experience building with large language models or AI‑driven products, including evaluation, reliability and knowing when to avoid AI. Strong English communication skills are mandatory for collaboration across BJAK's globally distributed teams. Preferred but not required attributes include an engineering or highly technical product background, experience launching zero‑to‑one fintech or consumer products, and the ability to create evaluation frameworks for machine‑learning or LLM‑powered offerings. The role is fully remote, allowing candidates to work from any location while collaborating across multiple time zones.
