Day‑to‑day duties involve designing, deploying and maintaining a highly available Infoblox NIOS Grid, including Grid Masters and distributed members. The administrator will engineer authoritative and recursive DNS services, configure DNSSEC and traffic distribution policies, and build fault‑tolerant DHCP failover associations with custom vendor options. Managing global IP address management (IPAM) is a key task, requiring unified tracking, VLSM/subnet allocation workflows and synchronized asset discovery for both on‑premises and cloud environments. The role also includes orchestrating zero‑downtime firmware upgrades, security hotfixes, hardware migrations and regular disaster‑recovery validation to keep the distributed infrastructure running smoothly. Candidates must hold an active DoD Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance, as well as a valid U.S. passport and meet German TESA/SOFA requirements. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required, together with at least five years of hands‑on Infoblox NIOS administration and DDI engineering in mission‑critical settings. Applicants need a deep understanding of core internet protocols, BIND, DHCP options, DNS record types and IP subnetting/VLSM. Proven experience scripting or automating with Infoblox WAPI, Python or Ansible is essential, along with an active DoD 8570.01‑M / 8140.03 IAT Level II baseline certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE. Preferred qualifications include Infoblox Core Engineer (CICE) or Core Admin (CICA) certifications, experience with Infoblox BloxOne Threat Defense or Cloud Network Automation, and additional scripting skills in Python or Perl for bulk data handling. Experience integrating Infoblox with VMware vCenter or Microsoft Azure, and prior technical support work within a Combatant Command environment, are also valued. The position offers a full‑time, regular‑long term assignment with up to 10 % local travel.
