As Director, Account Management you will head a high‑performing team of account managers who support all Strategic Business Units and HARMONIC's automotive product portfolio. Your role is to safeguard long‑term commercial success and customer satisfaction across a select group of customer projects, while shaping the overall business strategy for those accounts and maintaining senior‑level relationships that give insight into each customer's product and platform roadmap. On a daily basis you will craft and own the account strategy for your portfolio, acting as the primary liaison between HARMONIC and the customer to convey strategic and commercial priorities. You will manage commercial and legal agreements, lead negotiations for awarded business, and monitor senior‑level customer satisfaction, stepping in with corrective actions when needed. Responsibility for revenue, EBIT and cash‑flow targets rests with you, as does ensuring continuity of business through extensions, follow‑ons and change requests. You will also maintain a detailed relationship map that tracks status, goals and actions, and you will drive HR activities for your team, including hiring, performance reviews, succession planning, coaching and development. The position requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or business management, more than ten years of sales experience (including at least five years in the automotive sector) and a minimum of five years leading an account‑management organization. You must possess a deep understanding of automotive OEM structures, processes and P&L statements, as well as the ability to work with business cases, quotes and contracts. A solid technical grasp of automotive hardware and software systems is essential, and you should be comfortable using AI tools to improve efficiency and problem‑solving. Travel up to 30 % of the time, both domestically and internationally, is expected. Additional assets include a master's degree in engineering or business, prior experience with the specific customer/OEM, familiarity with the broader automotive ecosystem, including tier‑1, tier‑2 and third‑party suppliers, and work history at a tier‑1 supplier of audio, infotainment, connectivity or ADAS products. The role is based in a hybrid environment, with three days a week on site, and offers employee discounts on HARMONIC and Samsung brands, extensive training through HARMONIC University, and a competitive salary package within an inclusive, diverse workplace. What the role asks for: - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Management - 10+ years sales experience, 5+ years in automotive - 5+ years leading an Account Management organization - Deep knowledge of automotive OEM organization and processes - Strong understanding of P&L statements, business cases and contracts - Basic technical knowledge of automotive hardware and software systems - Ability to use AI tools for efficiency and problem‑solving - Willingness to travel up to 30% (domestic and international)
