Kurz zusammengefasst
The Senior Network Administrator role is part of CACI's O M/Engineering team that supports U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) from Stuttgart, Germany. CACI delivers information‑technology solutions to U.S. government customers, and this position focuses on keeping the Department of Defense's global WAN and LAN infrastructure highly available, performant, and secure for mission‑critical operations. Day‑to‑day you will deploy, configure and maintain DoD enterprise and datacenter networks, designing scalable systems that span multiple sites. Core duties include managing complex routing and switching (DMVPN, MPLS Segment‑Routing), operating Cisco ACI and Nexus fabrics, and handling Palo Alto and Cisco Firepower firewalls through Panorama and FMC. You will also administer Cisco ISE for Zero Trust access, provision KG encryptors such as TACLANE, and oversee core services like F5 load balancers and Infoblox DNS/DHCP/IPAM. A major emphasis is on automation: you will build Ansible playbooks, use Python (or Go/PowerShell) scripts, and interact with REST APIs to enable Software‑Defined Access and Infrastructure as Code. Performance monitoring, fault analysis, and collaboration with operations teams to create automation use‑cases are also key responsibilities. The position requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, an active Secret clearance (with the ability to obtain Top Secret), and five to ten plus years of hands‑on network engineering experience in mid‑to‑large enterprise or military settings. Candidates must be proficient in Python, Go or PowerShell scripting and have practical experience with automation tools such as Ansible, VMware Aria Suite and ServiceNow. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, specifically Ansible, is essential, as is meeting the DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE). U.S. citizenship is mandatory. Preferred qualifications include Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP or CASP, and a solid grasp of routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), MPLS, and IPSEC. While not required, these credentials demonstrate deeper expertise in the technologies used across AFRICOM's network. CACI promotes a culture of integrity, trust and continuous growth. Employees enjoy flexible time‑off, extensive learning resources, and a comprehensive benefits package covering health, wellness, retirement and family support. The role involves up to 10 % local travel and offers a salary range of $82,700‑$173,900, reflecting experience, location and qualifications.
