Vontobel is seeking a Workday HCM Specialist to join its HR Technology team. The specialist will help shape and evolve the company's global HR technology landscape, ensuring the Workday platform provides an efficient, scalable and user‑centric employee experience. In this role you will own and continuously improve Workday Core HCM as well as the Time Absence and Recruiting modules. Daily tasks include configuring and optimizing global business processes, organizational structures, security roles and data quality, all aimed at simplifying and automating HR workflows. You will also support each Workday release by assessing impact, conducting testing, preparing documentation and managing deployment. Collaboration with HR, IT and business stakeholders is essential to translate needs into practical system solutions and to contribute to broader automation and AI initiatives within the HR technology stack. The position requires at least three years of hands‑on Workday experience, either from an in‑house or consulting background, and proven expertise in configuring Workday Core HCM. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities are needed to turn business requirements into workable configurations. Effective stakeholder management and clear communication are also mandatory, along with a proactive, self‑driven and collaborative working style. Fluency in English is required; German language skills are considered an advantage. Experience in a regulated environment such as financial services is beneficial but not compulsory.
