Kurz zusammengefasst

Centric Software is a worldwide leader in AI‑enabled product‑concept‑to‑commercialisation platforms for retailers, fashion, luxury, footwear, outdoor, home and consumer‑goods brands. The company's Retail Planning and Pricing team blends consulting, customer success, project management, architecture and data‑science expertise to help clients link planning and pricing decisions across the product lifecycle, from pre‑season assortment to in‑season demand forecasting, allocation, replenishment and price optimisation. The Data Scientist Consultant will work closely with project managers, consultants and customers during onboarding projects. Core duties include translating business processes and client requirements into data transformations and modelling approaches, acting as the primary technical contact for data‑science and data‑engineering topics, and maintaining clear, well‑documented data flows. The role also involves designing and analysing A/B tests, training and validating statistical and machine‑learning models that assess the impact of pricing, promotions and inventory decisions, and prototyping solutions with product management while delivering robust, tested Python code. Candidates must bring at least three years of data‑analytics experience, preferably within retail or consumer products, and demonstrate excellent SQL proficiency together with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Hands‑on Python skills, including Pandas, NumPy and Statsmodels, are required, as are strong communication skills in English and the capacity to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences. A university degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics, physics, economics or a related discipline is also mandatory. Additional, but not essential, experience that would be advantageous includes working with big‑data environments such as PySpark, familiarity with statistical modelling of behavioural price effects, and fluency in languages beyond English. The position offers a global, remote‑working environment, competitive salary and benefits, and the chance to influence business‑critical outcomes for leading retail brands while collaborating with a diverse, AI‑focused team. What the role asks for: - Minimum 3 years data‑analytics experience - Excellent SQL skills - Hands‑on Python with Pandas, NumPy, Statsmodels - Strong English communication ability - Degree in CS, data science, math, statistics, physics, economics or related field - Experience with PySpark (nice‑to‑have) - Knowledge of statistical modelling/behavioural price effects (nice‑to‑have) - Additional languages beyond English (nice‑to‑have)
