Budgeting duties involve contributing to capital‑expenditure plans, processing purchase requests, forecasting costs and producing reports on spend, savings and optimisation opportunities. Compliance is a core focus: you will keep facilities aligned with local, state and national regulations, develop and update standards, and organise annual safety and fire inspections. Regular interaction with local management, landlords, municipal authorities and occupational‑safety bodies is required, as is overseeing third‑party vendors, lease agreements and contract renewals. You will also support sustainability goals by monitoring emissions and energy use, and you will design emergency‑response procedures, conduct safety training and help colleagues resolve internal facility issues. The position demands a bachelor's degree in Facility Management or a comparable technical field, complemented by business‑management training or similar development. Candidates must bring at least five years of facilities‑management experience, including a track record of handling technical building projects. Fluency in both German and English is essential, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite is required. Strong organisational, time‑management and creative problem‑solving abilities, together with solid project‑management skills, are expected. The role also calls for the capacity to influence stakeholders without direct authority, adaptability to shifting priorities and a proactive, positive attitude. Travel to other European sites is required, typically about two trips per year.
