Kurz zusammengefasst
JetBrains builds some of the most powerful developer tools on the market, helping programmers automate routine checks and focus on creative work. The company is now expanding its portfolio with Air, an agentic development environment that lets multiple AI agents run tasks in parallel while keeping the developer in control. Air combines a native desktop application with a web‑based experience and plans to add cloud execution and collaborative features, aiming to make AI‑driven software development feel natural for individuals and whole engineering teams. The Senior Product Designer will own the visual and interaction design of Air's core experiences. Day‑to‑day work includes crafting wireframes, mockups and interactive prototypes, and turning high‑level concepts into polished user interfaces. The role leads large‑scale design initiatives from strategy through execution, works closely with product managers, engineers and researchers to define problems and align goals, and communicates design decisions to keep the team synchronized. Collaboration with the UX Research and Analytics team ensures solutions are grounded in real user data, while partnership with developers guarantees that UI/UX implementations meet quality standards. The designer will also help evolve the design system, maintaining visual consistency while allowing flexibility and scale. Candidates must bring at least five years of UI/UX design experience and be comfortable in a fast‑moving environment where product direction and technology shift quickly. They should have a proven track record designing complex functional interfaces and be willing to dive into programming‑related topics. The ability to prototype, validate, present and rationalise design solutions is essential, as is a meticulous attention to detail. Strong spoken and written English for everyday communication and documentation is required, along with proactive, independent work habits, solid time‑management, and a collaborative mindset that welcomes feedback. It would be a plus if you have previously designed for developer‑focused products or other technical environments, and if you have hands‑on experience with programming and AI. JetBrains promotes an inclusive, equal‑opportunity culture that values diverse perspectives and supports remote or hybrid work arrangements. What the role asks for: - At least 5 years UI/UX design experience - Experience designing complex functional interfaces - Comfort in fast‑moving, evolving product environments - Willingness to dive into programming‑related topics - Ability to prototype, verify and present UI/UX solutions - Diligence and strong attention to detail - Spoken and written English for everyday communication - Proactive, independent work style with strong time‑management - Ability to work collaboratively and seek feedback - Nice‑to‑have: designing for developer‑focused products - Nice‑to‑have: experience with programming - Nice‑to‑have: experience with AI systems
