The Executive Director, Portfolio & Resource Analytics will join Novartis' US Insights Analytics organization in East Hanover, New Jersey. This senior, band‑level 7 role reports to the VP, Head of Enterprise Insights Analytics and is responsible for shaping enterprise‑wide performance reporting, functional excellence and investment optimisation across all US therapeutic areas and business functions. The position is on‑site, with up to 15 % travel, and works closely with Finance, the Office of the US President and US Leadership Team forums. Day‑to‑day, the leader oversees two director‑level capability areas, Enterprise Functional Excellence and Enterprise Resource Optimisation, setting standards for KPI definition, reporting and investment guidance. They own the enterprise performance vigilance processes such as the Monthly Business Review, Performance Pulse and Functional Business Reviews, and partner with the Analytics, Capabilities Modeling CoE to ensure a unified modelling capability. The role also drives cross‑functional initiatives, manages senior stakeholder relationships and ensures that data‑driven insights inform executive decision‑making. The essential qualifications include more than ten years of experience in enterprise analytics, performance, resource allocation, strategic finance or management consulting within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector, and at least five years of people‑management experience leading senior managers. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related field, with an MBA or advanced degree preferred. Proven ability to establish enterprise‑wide standards, enable executive‑level data‑driven decisions, partner directly with finance leadership on performance and investment matters, and possess working knowledge of investment optimisation and marketing‑mix methodologies are required. Experience managing senior‑leadership relationships and delivering complex cross‑functional projects is also mandatory. Preferred experience includes a background in top‑tier management consulting or comparable internal strategy leadership, familiarity with the US pharmaceutical commercial model and its analytics ecosystem, and a track record of leading multiple capability areas under a single remit. Additional desirable attributes are experience with large‑scale organisational transformations, building offshore analytics hubs, and knowledge of GenAI or AI‑enabled reporting and investment analysis. The role offers a salary range of $236,600, $439,400, performance‑based cash incentives, potential equity awards, a comprehensive benefits package and generous time‑off.
