Kurz zusammengefasst
BitGo, a publicly‑listed digital‑asset infrastructure firm, provides institutional‑grade custody, wallets, staking, trading, financing, stablecoins and settlement services from regulated cold‑storage facilities. Operating worldwide from multiple trust entities, including the federally chartered BitGo Bank & Trust, the company supports thousands of institutions and millions of investors across more than 50 countries. The part‑time Operations Specialist will be based on‑site at BitGo's European office in Frankfurt. Working 20 hours a week Monday‑Friday (6 pm‑10 pm) with additional Sunday shifts of roughly four hours, the role handles high‑volume, confidential operational tasks. Core duties include supporting crypto and banking transactions through verification and post‑settlement monitoring, preparing daily, monthly and quarterly reconciliations for both crypto and fiat accounts, and maintaining audit‑ready client records. The specialist also troubleshoots account issues, collaborates with Sales, KYC/AML, IT Security and Customer Success, and manages hardware, software and backup systems needed for daily operations. A significant portion of the job involves client onboarding and lifecycle management. This covers conducting KYC/AML due‑diligence reviews, verifying documentation, ownership structures and source‑of‑funds information, and applying sanctions and risk checks. The role opens, maintains and closes client accounts, performs periodic KYC reviews, and escalates any compliance irregularities. First‑level screening of sanctions, politically exposed persons and adverse‑media alerts, as well as handling Travel Rule data and executing approved compliance actions, are also required. Support functions extend to Finance, Risk and InfoSec teams. The specialist records invoices, maintains ledgers, assists with trading and stablecoin income reporting, follows up with vendors, conducts periodic risk assessments and reviews governance documents. Basic office management tasks such as mail handling and coordination with facility management are part of the daily routine. The position calls for a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, or 1–2 years in operations, banking or financial services, coupled with a genuine interest in digital assets. Prior exposure to KYC/AML, reconciliations or financial operations is advantageous. Candidates must communicate clearly in both German and English, demonstrate high accuracy, strong attention to detail and an organized approach to continuously improve workflows. What the role asks for: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 1–2 years operations experience - Prior exposure to KYC/AML, reconciliations or financial operations (advantage) - Fluent written and spoken German - Fluent written and spoken English - Ability to work 20 hours per week Mon‑Fri, plus Sunday shifts - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Well‑organized and confident in handling multiple tasks - Interest in digital assets and crypto operations (nice‑to‑have)
